# Installing

`xarray-lmfit` is available in the Python Package Index (PyPI) and conda-forge.

## Using `pip`

```bash
# Inside your virtual environment
pip install xarray-lmfit
```

## Using `conda`

```bash
# Inside your conda environment
conda install -c conda-forge xarray-lmfit
```

## Verifying the Installation

To verify that `xarray-lmfit` has been installed correctly, you can run the following command in your Python environment:

```python
import xarray_lmfit
print(xarray_lmfit.__version__)
```

The import name is `xarray_lmfit` (with an underscore `_`), not `xarray-lmfit`.

If the installation was successful, you should see the version number printed to the console.
